This step is a further progression of the kipping pull-up and pull-up hop, where you use more and more momentum and explosiveness on your way up, to the point where you can let go of your grip of the bar on the top of your movement for long enough to clap your hands, than grip it again to come down into the swing to repeat the exercise.
